Hola! We just spent the last several days in Delaware visiting the Hopkins and had a great, very relaxing time! The weather wasn't good enough to enjoy the beach but we enjoyed the boardwalk, farm, and relaxation. Aaron found out that he has a second interview tomorrow so are fingers are crossed that things start looking up for him. I started my new job today and think it's going to be great :) Definitely room to grow and finally use my education and experience! Ty has been testing us lately and has turned his "NAH NAH NAH" into "NNNNNNNNNNNOO!" NOT GOOD! So now we try to say "thats not nice" and "shh we need to be quiet"... I'll let you know how that works out haha. Well off to bed to hopefully get up early and walk before work!

Ty's 1st bday party

Hello world! Life has been up, down, left and right since the last time I posted. Aaron is having numerous health issues that we are narrowing down/diagnosing all while job hunting. Ty turned one on April 5th.. we cannot believe how fast the last year has flown by! And I'm starting a new job on May 2nd! I liked my old job and company but was approached with an offer that I needed to take for our family. I am taking a few days off in between jobs and we can't decide if we should head north to Delaware to see the Hopkins or south to Alabama to see the Basquins. Getting Aaron to nail down a decision is virtually impossible so it'll probably be a last minute decision like always haha. We are hoping for a nice and relaxing summer which I'm sure will be filled with a ton of new memories to include Ty walking, maybe his first trip to the beach (Sandbridge in February was a little cold for him to partake), and many more fun times. I would say that I'm going to post regularly but I never know what life is going to throw at us next haha.. Until next time...

Weekends are too short...

Another weekend comes to and end.. boooo! Why do they fly by so fast and the work week crawls by so slowly? Didn't really have anything particular to blog about but want to get better about blogging so... here I am ha-ha! Kelly and I are starting our 5k/get our butts back in shape training today so that should be interesting. And I'll be adding the weight of Ty and the stroller so we'll see how that goes... I may need oxygen after 2 minutes haha. Until next time...

1/2 way throught the summer already?!

I cannot believe it is already the middle of July! Ty is 3 months old now, and we've also celebrated my 28th, Aarons 27th bday, and Aarons 1st Fathers Day!

It's so crazy how much life has changed since Ty was born and it seems like time goes by soo fast. Looking forward to some upcoming visitors.. my cousin Jenn and her boyfriend are probably coming thru next week and then Kate is coming at the end of the month! Hoping my college roommates and I can get together before the summer is over and they're teaching/coaching jobs start back up. Allison's wedding is fastly approaching with her bridal shower and bachelorette party this fall.. crazy crazy! Ty update: he seems like he gets bigger everyday. He is definitely talking more and more.. just babbles to himself sometimes haha. Not sitting up or rolling over but getting stronger and stronger. Before we know it he'll be chasing Jager up and down the hallway.. and she could use the exercise. Well I have to pull myself away from the computer now because I wanted to be asleep over an hour ago... whoopsie!

WE ARE ALIVE!

Sooooo I know I am the worst blogger ever and some friends who will remain unnamed :) almost gave up on us haha. Since our last post ALOT has changed! We welcomed our beautiful son, Ty Benjamin, on April 5th at 7:53pm. He was 8lbs 12oz and 20.5 inches long with a full head of hair. I just started back to work on Monday part time and boy oh boy I would much rather be at home. I start back full time June 1st and I'm sure it's going to be really hard to be away from Ty all day and to go back to only seeing Aaron for 45 min a day if we're lucky during the week :( We don't have many summer plans this summer but hope to maybe take a trip late summer or in the fall once Ty's older, I have built up some more time off and we save up some moo-lah! I promise to be a better blogger and post pictures regularly (my goal will be once a month)... stay tuned!

Its been 2 months since we had a post but I'm pretty sure the only one that might have noticed would be Mindy haha. She's the most dedicated... come on people!!! :) Aaron and I went to Atlantic City for his birthday with Allison and Burli and had a great time! We didn't come away with alot of money but that is to be expected when you're gambling. Then we spend the rest of our mini-vaca at Allison and Burli's house in Lewes, Delaware. Beautiful house, got a tour of the daily farm, ate some crabs (YUUUMMMM), shot an AK-47, shopped at the outlets, and relaxed... it was wonderful! Didn't make it to the beach but thats ok. Since then Aaron started a lawn and landscaping business with a friend of his and they've been busting their busts trying to get that up and running. His goal is to be so successful so that he can leave Sysco and I can stay home... works for me! Ok well heres some pictures from our trip... ok so there up top. This darn thing put them up there and I'm too tired to figure out how to move them haha!

It's been a while....

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated the blog. We've both been working like crazy! I'm still working 1.5 jobs and this summer I am also handling some things for one of bosses while she summers in Greece. Nice huh?! Maybe one day I'll be able to afford a plane ticket to Greece and she'll let me stay at her house! Aaron's working hard and is trying to start up a part time mowing gig so we are a busy couple. Our weekends are slowly but surely filling up with yard work, weddings, birthdays :), and in July we're taking a mini-vacation to Atlantic City/Deleware to gamble, lay on the beach, and visit Allison and Burli. Other than all of that not much is going on. We would love some visitors so please visit!

Its Spring!

Its been a while since I've updated our blog so let me catch everyone up. (or at least the 1-3 people who may actually check our blog haha) We have been busy busy busy! Between working my regular full time job, two part time jobs, the house, Jager, and Aaron... I don't have time to do much else haha. I did have time this weekend however to run a 5K with my friend Katelyn and Kim, Brian and Allison. I finally beat Katelyn haha and Kim, Brian, and Allison did AWESOME! I was so proud of them!

Aaron is one month out of surgery and hopes to be on the golf course by July. He's progressing well but still requires some "encouragement" to follow the rules :) I'll be so glad when he's fully recovered and we don't have to worry with follow-up visits, PT, and perscriptions!

We went to Springfield 2 weekends ago and visited the couple that we met in the San Juan airport during our honeymoon and had a great time. We hadn't seen each other in a year but it's like we never left. Of course the weather was much better in St. Lucia than Virginia but it was still a great time. They have an 11 month old pit bull named Bella that played and played and played and played with Jager which was wonderful because Jager slept the whole way home and for a good solid day after that.

Shoulder surgery - Round 2

Well.. we found out last Friday that Aaron has to have repeat shoulder surgery this coming Wednesday. Not the best news but we'll get through it. Gotta stay positive and do what needs to be done. So if you're looking for Aaron between now and then he's either at work or on the golf course. :) Surgery will keep him off the course for a few months so he's playing all that he can until then and I can't blame him one bit. So... keep us in your thoughts next Wednesday!
